First impressions

So we just got back from Emporia we went up yesterday to stay and visit mom and dad.  Also I helped dad set up his new internet service with AT&T, which was a nightmare!  DSL modems and cable modems are NOTHING alike, and configuring a linksys router to work with them is a pain the arse!  I also moved their pc into the dining room to make it easier for mom to get to.

Anyway, mom was really tired most of the time, and laid down a lot.  We got to meet Lisa, the helper mom and dad hired.   She's going live with them and help take care of mom while dad is at work.  She hasn't moved in yet, will be another month maybe two, but she is there in the morning before dad goes to work and then leaves when he gets home.  First impressions of her: she seems to be a real nice gal, late 20’s, very attentive to mom.  But it does seem like she doesn’t quite grasp some simple things, and from what I am told its due to her very mild autism.  I think she was a little flustered with all of us there, I think it made her nervous.

Well I will keep posting updates about mom being at home with her new helper.  Hopefully this gal will work out very well for mom.  Oh and mom has some more tests and stuff this coming week to determine why she cant control her bladder very well.  Pray for revealing results that can be addressed!
