So what's new?

Wow. Last post was MAY.... This is just another example of how much of a slacker I can be sometimes... ok more than sometimes.

So what's new? Well since it has been 4 mths since I posted last I'll give you a break down:
  • Got a new job in late April at Slumberland Furniture (100 % commission)
  • FINALLY got a modification approved for our home loan so that we can get caught up on our mortgage and keep our home
  • Caroline got a job driving the school bus for Goddard schools
  • Jaydon turned 5 in late June
  • Caroline and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary in Late June
  • Gracepoint Church finally moved in to its first permanent facility beginning of Aug
  • Adrian became the manager of the 8th grade Goddard middle school football team in Aug
  • I left Slumberland (not enough money) and got two part time jobs (one at Best Buy Geek Squad and another for a company called Spartan Computer) in early September
  • We are taking a sabbatical form leading/hosting a life group
  • LANKansas is having its first Micro-Event in less than 2 weeks

So a lot of stuff has been going on. I cannot convey in any words accurately the amount of incredible stress that has been heaping upon me in the last few months. Sometimes, like today, it really gets to me. I am pretty thick skinned usually, but today I just broke down in tears and cried out to God. Our finances has been a disaster ever since last April, but they have gotten considerably worse in the last few months. At least most of last year and some of this year I had unemployment to help out. But now I am relying on my regular income and it has been nothing but irregular. Now I have two jobs that are hourly part time jobs, and it should be easier to budget but we are having to make a lot of cut backs.

My mothers health is also a source of stress for me. But its nothing compared to the amount of stress my Dad is feeling. Recently my mom developed TMJ and also got an infection in her leg from a spider bite. So with all the drugs from those two problems, plus all the ones she has already been taking, she is literally all drugged up. Plus her bladder control problem has not gotten any better. Please be in prayer for both my parents as they deal with this difficult life change. Also they are trying to sell their house to get a smaller single level home.

Well thats about all I want to talk about for now. I guess I will try to get better at blogging more regularly. Hopefully next one will be a little more positive and encouraging!

David
